First time with anal play

Plenty of guys are curious and never ask. Here’s the plain-English version.

Start small, go slow

• Pick a small, smooth plug with a flared base. The base is not optional: it stops the toy going too far.
• Use more lube than you think you need, and reapply. Water-based is the safe default with every toy.
• Relax and take your time. If it hurts, stop. Discomfort is a signal, not a challenge.

Before and after

• A trip to the bathroom beforehand is usually enough. A douche is optional.
• Wash your toy before and after with warm water and toy cleaner, then let it dry fully.
• Don’t share toys between partners without a condom over them, or a full clean in between.
